Reflections on Broward was a year-long photographic journal (started Jan 2013) of the bird life found along the Broward River in Northern Jacksonville Florida. The purpose was to share an amateur bird photographer's love of God's creation. We are told that on the Fifth Day He filled the sea and skies with the fish and the fowl and proclaimed It is Good! I certainly agree. My hope is to also generate more interest in local photography. As I journal there will also be a story of my progress as I learn to improve my skills with a lens. In doing so I hope to share an awareness of our local birds as I share daily adventures captured in these images. I hope you enjoy the journey with me.
My journey now has changed to a new adventure...I am no longer on the Broward River in Florida but now in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina..gone are my marsh bird buddies but now I have new mountain friends. Black bears, wild turkey, whitetailed deer and my local birds of the mountain. Reflections on Broward will now be called “Mountain Musings”. The old reflections and photos are still there but now a new journey begins..hope you enjoy it just the same.
